Hmmmm….it seems that little middle-aged me has had quite an effect on a certain clique of antiporn “feminists”.
Just for fun and games, for hits and giggles, and to be totally nosy…errrrrr, informed, I decided to browse through the comments to Witchy-Woo’s aformentioned broadside against me for having the gall to question their unalienable right to bash women who don’t think that porn is the ultimate rape weapon and prostitution is the ultimate slavery.
What I found was so…well, interesting, that I had to share it with you. Rather than do the linkage thing, I will simply re-cut and paste the freshest insults…or feeble attempts thereof.
That I would perfectly agree with….now, where in any of my posts here or anywhere have I done such a thing as promote rape, then???
And maybe the reason why you get attacked as “man-hating sex prudes” is because…well….you just might BE man-hating sex prudes???
Oh…and why should “radical feminists” get all the credit for insisting on men to stop raping women?? I thought that that basic creed of feminism was simply plain common sense to ALL decent men AND women??
I often get a bit weirded out when I hear of some men’s plans for US. You know the ‘real live’ and ‘sexually active’ (or not as the case may be) US.

Well for a start he could call out other men who believe men are entitled to have sexual access to any woman or girl. So simple yet so hard to actually do. Put blame where it rightly lies with the men who rape women and demand a never ending fresh supply of women and girls. This includes men demanding more and more misogynstic and violent porn, more younger women to sexually abuse in the name of ‘entertainment,’ more women and girls involved in prostitution. More graphic images of women and girls portrayed as men’s sexualised ‘toys.’ And yes he could lobby against Hooters chain of restaurants which are nothing more than places for men to enter and legally sexually harass and sexually assault female staff.

You know, Jennifer, I would agree with you wholeheartedly…except for the small issue that some women actually WANT to have men sexually accessible to them….and as long as they ask and seek willful consent, who the hell am I to object??? Actually, most men I know don’t want an “endless supply of sexually available girls” to rape and plunder; they just find beautiful women who acknowledge their gaze and their lusts to be sexually arousing and attractive. Pornography is woman-hating and dehumanizing propaganda material that makes degradation, violence and abuse invisible as it makes these things feel simply like sex to its users. I agree that I don’t believe that Kennerson has anything better to do than online radfem-bashing, which is so pathetic. We haven’t ever done nothing to this guy and his pro-porny friends apart from being anti-porn radfems, which seem to be enough for this pro-porner and his friends to steal too large quotes from our posts without even asking for copyright permissions, stalking us online and stupidly trash us on their blogs. The abusive or inappropriate language that (especially male) pro-porners are using when bashing us clearly show the negative effects this woman-hating pornography has on them! The fact that this guy hasn’t anything better to do than bashing radfems is so pathetic and proves his desire to keep using women as commodities, as you pointed out, Stormy.
Finally, I agree with you Lost Clown: What about the radical feminists who have been in the sex industry (many that I also know myself), who have painful stories to tell and who are indeed shouted down repeatedly. Where is the support for them?
Also, where is the support for the majority of prostituted women who want out of the industry? Where is the justice?
