It wasn’t original my intention to continue to pile on to the mountain of backlash in the continuing saga of the Great War between The Radicalfeminist Sexual Purist League (meaning Ginmar and her womyn warrior allies) and their mortal enemies The Sex Pox Brigade^tm (read, Renegade Evolution, Belledame, Kim, Amber, Iamcuriousblue, and yours truly)…..but since Moonbeam Ginny and her satelittes have decided to up the ante a bit and reset some old grudges and libels against those of us who beg to differ with her concept of feminism and her sparkling analysis of us “sex poxxies”, I really do feel the need to clarify the record once and for all.

 Since our Henchwoman/Head Sex Pox Field Marshal has already done a splendid and spectacular job of defending the honor of herself and the Brigade over at her blog, (and props to Belle, Kim, and all the rest of the crew for taking care of the business too), I will do my best not to duplicate her efforts. The following represent my own personal views only, and do not reflect those of the other Sex Pox Brigade(tm) members or of the organization.

I will freely use quotes from Ren’s rendition of the original thread at Ginmar’s LJ blog for reference.

In case you have missed it; this all started when Ren made the “mistake” of reacting to a steaming pile of crap post that Amanda Marcotte posted over at Pandagon about how women who choose to have their breasts enlarged artificially are merely stupid simpletons kneeling to TEH MAN and TEH COCK; and how small breasted women  — like, say, her own indie-raised, hip, cool, Texas “porn liberal” self –are far superior and thoughtful and feminist for “loving their bodies as they are”.  Ren, who is artificially enhanced, responded (and responded again) that she chose to have her implants done for herself, and that Amanda’s choice of words to describe the “desperation” of women with implants kinda glossed over the notion of freedom of choice. This managed to set off the fuse in Ginmar, who proceded to attempt to defend Amanda mostly by whacking Ren with the “oh, easy for you to say, you patriarchial slut, you…you get paid for your boob job just to kneel and suck their dicks!” card…and it was on from there.

Then, not satisfied with slamming Ren for her infidel ways at Pandagon, Ginny went over to her own LiveJournal blog and promptly went nuklar on Ren and other members of the supposed “sex pox” circle of critics of Ginny’s brand of “feminism”; basically resetting all the old and supposedly dead grudge matches as proof of the evol plot of “sex poxxes” to distort and destroy “radical feminists” (or just merely “feminists”), then allowing all the usual womyn warrior suspects (kewlaunt [nee coolaunt], Laurellin, crankycrone_101, delphyne, danaseilhan, bettyboondoggle, and a couple of new faces) to further pile on Ren as a nut/slut/whore/college elitist/cyborg fucktoy; as well as to whine about how “feminists” are being assaulted constantly from the allegedly pseudofeminist “honorary men” (and real men, too) on the “sex pos” side of the fence.

As I said, Ren has already done a detailed fisking and rebuttal of much of the nastiness and pettiness over at her blog, and she can and has done more than an adequate job of defending herself (as well as pointing out the many half-truths, deceptions, projections, and outright lies — not to mention the drive-by adhominens, the name-calling, the cliquish elitistism, the personal fear and loathing, and the overall assholery of Ginmar and Company’s rants and raves.  But…some of their…ummm….projections deserve a special focus, and that’s where I will focus tonight.  Not so much on the personal brutality towards Ren and Belle and Antiprincess specifically, but some of the more general slanders towards “sex pox” activists and women in sex work and porn.

For example: gaze upon this quote from an uncredited commentator (and Ren’s response):

Oh, but this is so lovely….especially since Ginny has a specific policy of not allowing critics of her to even post at her blog….at least, not unless they want to get insulted with “Fuck off, asshole,” or outright banned, or get accused of physical assault (as I was when I merely posted there that words would come back to haunt people…which Ginny immediately perceived to be a physical threat against her.  Yeah, right, like I would challenge a former military woman who fought in Iraq).

And notice the reduction of like-minded womyn warriors to “feminists”; of course, anyone who doesn’t fit Ginny and her colleagues’ definition of a “feminist” simply isn’t one…because she says so.  After all, one of the main — if not exclusive — tenants of “feminism” (at least, as defined by Ginny and her womyn’s warrior colleagues) is that only they reserve the right to criticize and mock and savage other women’s looks, their actions, their choice of partners (sexual or communal or otherwise), their treatment of their own bodies….all in the name of “women’s liberation” from the Patriarchy. The fact that she uses an institution of the Patriarchy to institute her vision matters none at all; the idea that “feminism” might actually consist of giving women more freedom to make more choices about their own autonomy is apparantly lost to them….apparantly, just another plot of TEH MEN.  Freedom is Slavery, indeed.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a pile-on on Ren without the ubitquitous “choke on your own blood” reset:

To reset the actual event (rather than Ginmar’s and kewlaunt’s fictional rendition of that event): Ren had mouthed off in rage on what she perceived as some gratituous personal attacks on various feminist women (I use “feminist” here in the conventional, traditional sense rather than Ginny’s most recent recapitulation of the term), resulting in the remark about “may they choke in their own blood”.  She quickly repudiated and apologized for that outburst right after it came out of her keyboard; and even promised not to say anything nasty about the other side, even if it meant not even posting on radical feminism ever again.

This is in comparison to Ginny, who has never, ever repudiated a single stinkbomb hurled at Ren or other “sex pox” women….even with the same identical wish.  And unlike Ren, Ginny’s actually backed them up with real threats of bodily harm.

But why let the truth get in the way of a good vendetta….especially when you can freely use it to mock and malign your strawenemy as an “honorary man” who only lives to “get paid for sucking cock” and who only exists to purposely “assault feminists” when she’s not baring her fake boobs and dropping at the sight of any dick she sees….only for the quick buck?

Now…I’m not sure if the “cowardly little shit” Ginny refers to happens to be moi or Iamcuriousblue or some other unfortunate man who had the unpleasantry of feeling her wrath…but I’ll bet that he probably didn’t delete his comments because he was scared but because Ginny did it for him. Projecting her myopias onto others is one of her specialties, as we will see.

And of course, there is the denial of ever calling Ren a “slut” and a “whore”..right before basically out calling her a “slut” and “whore” by thinly veiled assertion. Very nice for a “feminist”, ‘ya think???

I think what it all boils down to is that the sex pox pax are the aggressors. Radfems don’t go to their sites and post comments to them about their so-called choices being patriarchy-approved, man-pleasing and not feminist, forcing them to defend themselves. Instead, they troll the feminist and radfem sites, looking for posts that criticize the so-called choices women often make, such as the choice to undergo breast augmentation or be an unf*ckable, object of male disapproval and all that comes with it.
